Notes: Okay. “走火入魔,” literally "crossing fire into magic," refers to when practitioners of things like Qi Gong or martial arts get so entranced in their arts that they actually lose themselves and experience dementia. Simply put, it’s getting into something so deeply you lose yourself. That actually makes an interesting metaphor for falling in love, though the fact that it is sometimes translated as "possessed by the devil" puts a whole other spin on things. In the translation, I took great liberties and did not translate it as two parts that could come together to make the idiom - I simply tried to capture what I think the meaning is.
